Paella in the back yard - great for easily feeding a larger team

ree

If you're planning a team offsite and want an easy, delicious way to feed a group, but you don't want the expense of a private chef, we recommend bringing a paella vendor in. We've done this, and it's a great way to feed a team and have them enjoy the cooking experience in the process.

The paella vendor will typically set up a few hours ahead of time and cook the paella on-site. This setup works very well in our back yard or on our dock (assuming the weather is warm enough, which it easily is between March - September). You can also have the vendor set up on the deck and eat inside if the weather is too cool (although we also have patio heat lamps for the dock).

TruffleShuffle: A virtual (i.e., over Zoom) group cooking experience with your team

You wouldn't think that a virtual Zoom cooking class would be much fun, but chef Jason really creates amazing experiences for in-person or distributed teams.

His company, TruffleShuffle, does both fully live in-person group cooking events, as well as remote Zoom cooking events. For the remote events, the company will send a"cooking box" of ingredients to your team's home ahead of time. You can also have your team be all together in person, and have Chef Jason on Zoom.

We've done it with our teams and have had a great experience. Highly recommended!

Chris Sams - An incredible day or evening of improv for your colleagues or family

The power of Improv:

Chris Sams puts on an incredible improv session, which FounderCulture Founders have done live in person at the Lagoon Retreat, but which Chris has also done virtually over Zoom.

💡You can book Chris via his "Connecting Through Improv" Airbnb experience page or reach out to DROdio if you'd like his direct phone number for larger events.

The improv is not only a really fun group connecting activity, but it's also an opportunity to bring really helpful and important themes into your company, including:

  • The concept of extending ideas via Yes, And… instead of saying "no" to ideas.

  • Ways to collaborate together
