The property has a built-in BBQ grill. We've got propane + extra spare propane tanks for you. We've also got a high-temp grill mit and grilling spatula / tongs.

If you're planning something like a BBQ (or other outdoor activity) at the Lagoon Retreat, you might be looking for things like outdoor tables, chairs, etc.

We also generally keep the property stocked with the following condiments, although we can't guarantee exact availability:

Yes! When standing by the dining room table, ask Alexa to "turn the deck lights on/off".

The lagoon umbrellas also have lights, and the steps do as well. There is also lighting on the grounds. Here are a few pictures to show you:

You're welcome to use the driveway (you can likely fit 2 cars in the driveway) as well as the right-hand side of the street when facing the house. Please don't park on the left-hand side, as our neighbors use that space.

Here are some simple parking guidelines to follow during your stay:

Where not to Park?

• Please avoid parking under the street lamp next door. That's where our neighbor prefers to park his pickup truck.

• Please also steer clear of parking to the left side of the house, as those spaces belong to our neighbors as well.

Trash, recycling and compost are pickedup early on Thursday mornings. We typically put the bins out Wednesday evening.

If you're staying at the Lagoon Retreat on a Wednesday / Thursday, our housekeeper will come by the property on Wednesday afternoon/evening to take the bins out, and then will come back by on Thursday to put the bins back in the driveway by the side of the house.

Water Safety:

Since our property backs up to the Lagoon, we take water safety very seriously. We recommend you keep the dock gate closed at all times -- especially if you have young children. We recommend you not allow children in the backyard and especially on the dock without an adult present, and that the adult can swim.

Water Sports:

Yes you can kayak / SUP in the lagoon, BUT with some very important caveats:

You do so at your own risk. Water sports are dangerous and you expressly agree to shoulder all liability for any such activities.

We have an Ooni Kode 16 pizza oven available for your use, which was recognized by NYTimes as the best home pizza oven. We agree! It's amazing. Here's how to use it, and generally how to make great at-home pizza:

About the Oven:

We keep the pizza oven in storage to protect it from the elements. If you'd like to use it during your stay, just let us know and we'll leave it out for you next to the BBQ grill. As described in the video in this post, there are rolling pins, a pizza cutter, and two "peels" available for your use (these are the big boards you put the pizza on to put it in & take it out of the oven).

Yes! We have a 32 Amp Level 2 charger. You'll see the cable to the right of the driveway.

Note: it is set to charge during off-peak hours. Charging will start automatically at midnight, and stop at 9am.

If you have a Tesla, you'll need to make sure you bring your Tesla adapter, as this is not a Tesla-specific EV charger.

Yes! A Sprinter will fit in the driveway. We can fit an RV up to 25 feet long and 10 feet high:

We've got a yoga mat, pullup + crunches bar, a bench and barbell and assorted bands.

It's important for us to always make sure that you are enjoying your stay and making the most of our beautiful outdoor spaces. However, at times when there's inclement weather or the occurrence of strong winds in the area. We take precautionary measures to ensure your safety and comfort.

Your Safety is Our Priority

To mitigate the risk of accidents or injuries, we are proactively securing the Patio Heaters and Outdoor Umbrellas. This is to prevent the likelihood of these items being lifted by the wind and becoming dangerous to you or other guests.

Protecting Your Serene Experience

We also want to maintain the tranquil and aesthetic environment that you expect from our property. Securing the items prevents them from being blown around, which could disrupt your peaceful retreat and the beautiful setting we have created for your enjoyment.

Minimizing Damage and Disruption

Here is a row of string lights on the outside deck that should come on automatically at sunset and turn off at 9pm.

You can also turn these on and off yourself to override the automatic function by:

• Saying to the Alexa speaker (near the dining room table, under the large picture) "Alexa, turn on the deck lights." or "Alexa, turn off the deck lights."

• Or, just press the round button on the white deck light timer box that is plugged in outside on the deck just to the right of the mini fridge.

No need to inflate the Jacuzzi—it’s ready to go!
